He likes to wear simple clothing in Muggle styles when he can (jumpers, long-sleeved t-shirts, flannel shirts and turtlenecks with denims) in darker colours. He has a pair of black dragonhide boots with silver buckles on them that he wears almost every day without fail. Occupation: Currently doing investigative work/bounty hunting with Padma Patil. Family: Parents: Arthur and Molly Weasley. Siblings: Bill, Charlie, Percy, George (his twin, deceased), Ron and Ginny. He is estranged from most of them after Molly had him committed for a year back in 2000. Personality: Fred is stong willed and quite stubborn. He used to be a prankster and very much a showman, though that has changed since the Final Battle and losing George. Fred is very much his father's son, having inherited Arthur's love for Muggles and his fascination with Muggle things. He ultimately believes that people don't choose who they are born to, and that everyone bleeds the same colour blood in the end. He would like nothing more than to see the Death Eaters in Azkaban for what they have done. Strengths: Manages to carry on despite the fact that he has lost the will to live. He is intelligent, has a good mind for business, possesses a sharp wit, and tends to focus on the big picture. Weaknesses: He can be a bit dark and sarcastic at times. He has night terrors on occasion as the memories of what happened to George in the Battle return. He feels lost without George, and has attempted suicide (and is still borderline suicidal), and feels like he is responsible for George's death. He can be arrogant, has a quick temper, is stubborn and bloody-minded, and he tends to gloss over the details in his world view. History: Fred and George Weasley were born on 1 April 1978 to Arthur and Molly Weasley, and they became the pranksters of the family growing up. He and George were closer than anything, and did everything together. They were known as the pranksters and 'terrors' of the family, teasing their siblings (especially their brothers Ron and Percy), but never meant anything maliciously. When the twins arrived at Hogwarts, they were sorted into Gryffindor, and both became Beaters for their House Quidditch team. They brought their troublemaking ways to school with them, and Filch had a whole filing cabinet drawer devoted to the twins. They started to invent their own products and creations, testing them out on unsuspecting 'volunteers' (who got paid for their efforts) with the help of their best friend, Lee Jordan. During their seventh year, they were banned from Quidditch by Dolores Umbridge, and they eventually quit school just before taking their NEWTs because of her oppressive ways. After leaving Hogwarts, the twins opened their own shop, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, at 93 Diagon Alley. They sold their creations and were a huge success. They helped the Order of the Phoenix as much as they could during the war. During the Battle of Hogwarts, Fred and Percy went to fight with George and Lee, but became separated from them soon after. They joined Harry, Ron and Hermione, and a few minutes later, there was an explosion. Fred felt a blast and was thrown across the room, but it wasn't from that. It was from George, who had used Expelliarmus on him to get him out of the way. Part of a wall fell on George a few seconds later, killing him instantly, and a large part of Fred died along with his twin right there and then. Ron insisted on helping with the shop, and Molly agreed, so Fred begrudgingly went back to work. He went though a dark phase, attempting suicide, but was found by his brother Ron before he was able to be successful. Upset and convinced something was wrong with her son, she had him committed to the Janus Thickey Ward, where he stayed for a year. He stopped talking to his family for a long time, and still barely talks to his mother for doing that to him. He became friends with Padma Patil while he was there (her sister, Parvati, is in there for spell damage) and they remain best mates to this day. Once he was released, Fred sold his shop and moved to a small flat in Hogsmeade. He has been working as an investigator and bounty hunter, capturing Death Eaters and bringing them to Azkaban with Padma's help. He is an alcoholic, and longs to be reunited with George, but doesn't want his mother to have him committed permanently if he tries to kill himself again. | |||||||||
